About me
I’m Jorge Garcia, an independent freelance percussionist and a passionate admirer of Caribbean and Latin American rhythms.
I was self-taught from a young age, and I also attended countless classes with renowned Afro-Cuban and international percussionists.
I studied music both in Argentina and at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, where I’ve been living for the past 15 years.
I started Mundele Percussion 2015, a percussion ensemble where I teach percussion to anyone eager to learn.
Since 2019, I have been the leader of Manana, a Latin jazz quintet.
I am also the percussionist of Soneros Social Club, a Cuban salsa and timba quintet. I play a drum and percussion set in Latin Blue Invitation. With Manana, we play Latin jazz. I also work as a percussionist with Edo Bumba, who plays African music. With Paulo Costas, we play bossa nova and samba.
Other than that, I also work with DJs at various events and nightclubs with my live percussion set.
I perform live percussion shows with various DJs at private parties and nightclubs
Since 2015 I have been playing with different DJs at different events.
Live percussion always heats up the party and is always a success!
